About the agency
We audit the operators. Nobody audits our score.
CasinoIndexCA is an independent consumer-auditing agency built for one job: telling Canadian players which real-money casinos are safe, fast and fair — measured, not marketed. Every review carries a named author and is fact-checked by a second editor.
Who we are
CasinoIndexCA is a Canadian-focused editorial team of casino analysts, payments specialists and responsible-gambling researchers. We publish independent audits of the online casinos that accept Canadian players — both offshore operators serving the rest of Canada and brands registered with iGaming Ontario. Our purpose is simple: replace the guesswork Canadians face when they deposit real money online with a measured, repeatable, published score we call the Safety Index.
We are readers' advocates first. Everything we publish is written to answer the questions a careful player actually asks before signing up — is this casino licensed, will it pay me quickly, are the bonus terms fair, and what happens if something goes wrong?
Why we exist
Most casino "review" sites are ranked by whoever pays the most. We think that gets it backwards. Canadians deposit real money with operators they have no easy way to vet — offshore licences, opaque terms, and withdrawal times that only reveal themselves after you've already won. CasinoIndexCA turns that guesswork into a measured, repeatable score, and we show our work: every rating links to the reasoning behind it.

How we review a casino
Every operator goes through the same six-stage process before it earns a Safety Index score. No shortcuts, and no exceptions for advertisers.
Shortlist & licence check
We confirm the operator accepts Canadian players and verify its licence and operating company against the issuing regulator's public register.
Fund a real account
We register and deposit our own money using Canadian methods — Interac, cards or crypto — and keep the dated receipt. No demo accounts.
Test the payout
We request a real withdrawal, time it end-to-end, and quiz live chat on cashout policy, KYC and limits.
Read every term
Wagering, max-bet rules, win caps, game weighting, dormancy fees and payment exclusions — read line by line from the operator's own documents.
Score & second-editor check
The four weighted pillars are scored, then a second editor fact-checks the review before it can be published.
Publish & maintain
Each review is dated and revisited as offers, terms and licences change. Any material change can move a score or trigger a flag at any time.
How the Safety Index works
Every operator is scored out of 10 against four weighted pillars. The weights are fixed and applied identically to every casino, whether we have a commercial relationship with them or not.
Licensing & Trust
35%Which regulator licenses the operator, that licence's standing and enforcement history, corporate transparency, and the brand's track record and longevity.
Payout Reliability
30%How quickly and predictably an operator pays. We look at observed withdrawal times across Interac, e-wallets, cards and crypto, plus limits and cashout friction.
Terms Integrity
20%Wagering requirements, max-bet rules, win caps, game weighting, dormancy fees and payment exclusions — rewarding operators whose terms are fair and clearly published.
Dispute History
15%Complaint volume relative to size, and — more importantly — how the operator resolves disputes. A clean record lifts the score; unpaid winnings sink it.

What sets us apart
Why CasinoIndexCA is different
The score can't be bought
Affiliate commissions are logged separately and carry zero weight in the Safety Index. Reviewers don't know an operator's commercial status while scoring.
We use our own money
Every audit starts with a funded account and a real withdrawal test — not marketing claims or copied specs.
Built for Canada
Interac-first banking, CAD limits, and a region toggle that follows AGCO advertising standards for Ontario automatically.
Editorial standards
We hold every page on this site to the same standards, because trust is the only thing a review site is really selling.
- Named authors. Every review is written by a named member of our team and reviewed by a second editor. The byline and fact-checker appear at the top of each page.
- Primary sources. Licensing details, company registration and bonus terms come from the operator's own published terms and the relevant regulator — not from other review sites.
- Fixed methodology. The same scoring model is applied to every operator. No operator sees or influences its score before publication.
- Transparent flaws. When a casino has strict terms, low limits or undisclosed licensing, we say so plainly — even for operators we earn commission from.
- Dated & maintained. Reviews carry a last-updated date and are revisited as offers, terms and licences change.
How we're funded
CasinoIndexCA is free for readers because we earn affiliate commissions from some of the operators we list. Those commercial relationships are recorded in a separate ledger and carry zero weight in the Safety Index. An operator cannot buy a higher score, a better position, or the removal of a flag. If an operator we're paid by fails an audit, it gets flagged. The data decides — every time.
Sources we verify against
Licensing and compliance claims are checked directly against the issuing authority, not repeated second-hand:
Regional compliance
Ontario runs its own regulated iGaming market under the AGCO and iGaming Ontario, with advertising standards that restrict how bonuses and inducements are shown. When a visitor selects the Ontario region, our site follows those standards automatically — showing licensing, registration and verified payout data instead of promotional figures. Across the rest of Canada, we show the full picture including bonuses, always alongside the terms that apply.
The people behind the scores
Meet the editorial team
CasinoIndexCA is written and maintained by a small, specialised team. Each reviewer owns the areas they know best, and no review is published without a second editor's fact-check.
Daniel Fournier
Daniel oversees the Safety Index and has final sign-off on every published score. Based in Montréal, he specialises in the licensing frameworks that matter to Canadian players and verifies each operator's licence and operating company at source.
LinkedInEmma Sinclair
Emma leads our hands-on casino reviews from Toronto. She dissects welcome packages and reload offers, reads the wagering and win-cap fine print, and assesses the depth of each lobby so readers know exactly what a bonus is really worth.
LinkedInMarc Tremblay
Marc covers the cashier — the part of a casino players feel most directly. Bilingual and detail-driven, he benchmarks deposit and withdrawal methods, documents KYC and payout timelines, and keeps our Ontario coverage within AGCO advertising standards.
LinkedInPriya Anand
Priya fact-checks our reviews and owns our responsible-gambling coverage. She pressure-tests bonus terms for hidden traps, researches operators' dispute histories, and ensures every page points players to the right support and reflects our 19+ commitment.
LinkedInReviewer LinkedIn profiles are added as team members are onboarded publicly. Replace the placeholder links with each reviewer's profile before launch.

Responsible gambling commitment
Gambling should stay entertainment. We publish responsible-gambling resources on every page, reward operators with easy limits and self-exclusion, and never target anyone under 19. If gambling stops being fun, help is here.
